On January 1, 2021, Ms. Deanna Zumwalt was appointed as a Director of Coril Holdings Ltd., as well as Chair and Director of Coril’s subsidiaries. In concert, on that same date, she was also appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Coril Holdings Ltd.
Ms. Zumwalt is responsible for managing the company’s portfolio of investments, for leading and directing Coril’s business initiatives, including companies that operate in Canada, the United States, and globally. Deanna joined Coril in September 2015 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing with her more than 20 years of senior executive experience in the energy industry with extensive experience in finance, governance and commodity marketing. In February 2019, Deanna was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and in September of that same year, she was promoted to President and Chief Financial Officer of Coril Holdings Ltd., and was also elected as Chairman of INLIV Inc. as well as a Director of Triovest Inc.
Prior to joining Coril, Deanna worked at a Nexen Energy ULC, where she served as Vice President, Energy Marketing, and was responsible for leading its highly successful global marketing and commodity trading division. Prior to that she held a number of increasingly senior leadership positions with various energy and professional accounting firms.
Deanna holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, as well as a Diploma in Financial Strategy from Oxford University. She holds a CPA CA designation from the Certified Professional Accountants of Alberta, and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Additionally, in April of 2019, Deanna was elected to the Board of Secure Energy Services, and currently serves on the Audit and Governance Committees.
