As Vice President, Shareholder Relations & Portfolio Management, Alex leads shareholder engagement across generations to optimize family enterprise governance. He has strategic oversight of the company’s portfolio of minority investments and marketable securities, ensuring corporate objectives reflect Coril Owners’ Strategy goals and guardrails. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Alex supports the Coril Group in the areas of capital allocation and strategic planning.

Active in family business networks, Alex shares best practices and directs cultural initiatives that drive value creation throughout the Coril Group. Having served as Co-Chair of the Business Families Foundation, Alex is also a past Board member of the Calgary chapter of Family Enterprise Canada (FEC) and joined the Impact Committee at FEC in 2021. He contributes to the Investment Committees for the M-E² and Loram Foundations and retains directorships with both a private family entity and HRM Assets Ltd., a corporation dedicated to preserving the family’s shared collection of corporate history.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is also a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) Designate and completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program in July 2020.
