As Vice President of Finance & Portfolio Management, Steve leads Coril’s strategic finance and accounting functions, overseeing all financial operations including tax, treasury, and financing. He is responsible for managing Coril’s portfolio of wholly owned investments and working closely with the Board of Directors and Finance Committee to support their capital allocation and governance duties.

Steve joined Coril in 2020 as Controller and advanced to Vice President, Asset Management in 2023. He played a key role in portfolio management by evaluating capital allocation strategies, monitoring economic trends, and presenting investment performance updates to the Board. In addition, Steve was an active contributor to Coril’s enterprise strategy development, and worked closely with portfolio company leadership and governance teams to drive value creation and support long-term growth.

Steve is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick. He began his career at Ernst & Young and later held senior finance roles at publicly traded companies including TransGlobe Energy and Black Diamond Group.
