Payroll Consultant


Position Profile
As Payroll Consultant with Coril, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a great team. This role supports the process to ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements. Provide reporting and analysis as required to support other aspects of HR and assisting in data management in ADP Workforce Now. This is a 1 year, part-time (10 to 20 hours per month) term position and this role is 100% virtual.

Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General Accountabilities:

  • Input, verification, and full-cycle processing of semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly payroll for hourly, salaried and Board of Director pay
  • Verify and submit
  • Prepare and submit remittances for Benevity, Sun Life
  • DC Pension Coordination and Tracking
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries with respect to payroll and timekeeping.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and/or reconciliations as requested by various departments and management.
  • Prepare annual pay taxes
  • Performs all activities required for year-end processing and reporting.
  • Coordinate payroll file uploads required in conjunction with Coril’s Benevity impAct program

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll or related field.
  • Current Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification (Canadian Payroll Association) is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of timekeeping and payroll systems, familiarity with relevant legislation and understanding of schedules.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now will be considered a strong asset.
